BREAST CANCER

Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in women. According to the American Cancer Society, more than 180,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year and about 41,000 will die from the disease.  However, early detection of breast cancer can save thousands of lives.  It is important for women to know their risk factors as well as be vigilant about following age-appropriate screening guidelines.

Founded by Armando Giuliano, MD, the Saint John’s Breast Center offers a compassionate and comprehensive approach to the detection and management of breast cancer in its earliest forms.  By providing multidisciplinary care to patients with breast disease, women are assured of getting effective treatment.  The Breast Center at Saint John’s offer women the latest in breast cancer screening, diagnosis and treatment as well as the Positive Appearance Center, which helps patients deal with the cosmetic side effects of cancer.
