Since fibroids aren’t cancerous and they rarely interfere with pregnancy or cause problems, the best treatment is usually just to be aware that they are there. However, women who experience symptoms such as heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain or backache should talk to their physician.  After diagnostic testing, the physician may recommend one of the following treatment options:
