Obstetrics/Maternity:

 postpartum care

The postpartum period lasts from the time of childbirth to six weeks after delivery. The body undergoes many changes as mothers recover and return to a pre-pregnant state.

While at Saint John's recovering from a vaginal or caesarean-section birth, expert nurses, lactation specialists and physicians are on hand to answer any questions a new mother may have as well as to guide her through the first few days of the baby’s life. Even after women leave Saint John’s, professionals are available to answer questions.
